Rubber mat for horse stalls - reducing the need for bedding
Belmondo recycled rubber mats - an environmentally friendly solution

Research has shown: with a system 5 with a soft rubber base and 4 reduced litter (approx. 1 cm), time is saved when cleaning and maintaining the boxes. The rubber base offers softness and thermal insulation, while the bedding only serves to bind liquids.

In the research, horses lay longer on 120 rubber mats with 100 straw pellets than on straw bedding. Shortly after applying Belmondo® Trend 60, they very quickly rested lying down, in a position in which they feel safe (behavior as an indicator of well-being)

The advantage is in the rubber!

Sustainability

The raw material we use consists of the best parts of truck tires, which, due to heavy loads and safety in traffic, must be of the highest quality material. Annually, we recycle rubber from approx. 8 million truck tires, thus contributing to the preservation of the environment. The rubber raw material obtained in this way is a very valuable and ideal base for the production of stable and elastic rubber substrates.

Know-how

The unique process of mixing recycled and virgin rubber at the KRAIBURG factory gives us a high-quality rubber compound that retains the most important properties of rubber - it is dimensionally stable, elastic and wear-resistant.

Innovation

We have our own laboratory within the factory, where we constantly monitor the properties of our products. For an independent assessment and opinion, we test all our products at the DLG, which ensures quality standards. A large number of products are also tested by specialized experts for animal husbandry and protection in Austria.

Transparency

Given that our production is based on the ISO 9001 standard, which is valid worldwide, DLG regularly controls us for uniform product quality. Every year we open our doors for a comprehensive quality audit of our production process. In this context, we also became certified to have passed the PAH test (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons).
